Guiding Mosaic

We use an evolving library of “patterns” to guide our work.

Inspired by the classic book, A Pattern Language, we create “patterns” for Culture, Code, Construction, and Community.

An archetypal pattern has six basic parts:

  1. Preamble — explaining the context that leads to the pattern
  2. Problem — distilling the need that the pattern sets out to answer
  3. Discussion — exploring what happens when that need goes unmet
  4. Solution — distilling the essence of the pattern’s solution
  5. Image — visually expressing the pattern’s solution

We use patterns in every part of our work, providing an extensible framework for communicating wisdom.
